Growing up, I always wanted to train my hair as it got greasy super quick and I needed a solution. However, I never did start to train my hair as I could never get past day 4 without giving in and washing it.
What is Hair Training?
Hair training is the act of training our hair over time to become less greasy. It also helps us to get into a routine of only washing our hair once a week. When training our hair we should also use a shampoo and conditioner free from silicone. My favourite shampoo to use is the Tropic Clarifying Hair Wash.
I’d also suggest investing in a scalp massager when training your hair as this really helps to boost blood circulation. I’ve not started using one yet as I’ve only just started training my hair but I will definitely be purchasing one.
Hair Training Tips
Avoid using heat to style your hair as this promotes sebum. If like me you struggle to style your hair without heat then you can always use a dry shampoo. You ideally want to apply your dry shampoo whilst your hair is still clean. Around day 2 or 3 would be good. If your hair is already too greasy then unfortunately dry shampoo won’t work.
Once you get the hang of training your hair and getting used to it looking a little greasy, it really is so easy to do. If I can do it, anybody can!
Have you ever trained your hair?
