So many of us want to better ourselves this year, me included. I suppose last year was a year for reflecting, reflecting on our lifestyle, and reflecting on the things we love. I’ve always had a passion for creating any type of content to share on the internet with others so having that time made me value it even more so.
Going into 2021, I knew I wanted to make some BIG differences but I didn’t know how to. I knew I wanted a couple of books to read, so turned to the internet and ordered myself some. Now I haven’t read a book in years and I mean years, so this was completely new territory for me. I’ve surprised myself at how much I’ve read during January. I think it’s the start of a new me and I love it!
One of the books that have helped change my mindset massively, is the Vex King ‘Good Vibes, Good Life. I never knew about vibrations and I can be quite a negative person so as soon as I read this book, I made changes! I also learned many other tips from this book and I want to share some of them with you.
How to become a better you in 2021:
- Manifest – I didn’t believe in manifesting until the start of this year. I now manifest every single day without fail and I do believe this is turning me into a better person. I write down my goals and every day I read them out loud for my subconscious mind to hear & take action. Your subconscious mind plays a huge part in manifesting. Be sure to read out your goals and write them down on paper as supposed to writing them on your phone and never looking at them again.
- Meditate – Meditation is a way in which we focus our minds on particular objects to achieve a stable state of mind. Meditating is good for reducing areas of anxiety, chronic pain, and depression. I love the feeling of meditating, it’s almost as if you escape life for a while and are free, free to go anywhere! If you haven’t tried meditating, give it a shot and see what happens for you.
- Affirmations – When you wake every single day, stand in front of a mirror and say out loud your affirmations. These are positive statements that can help you challenge and overcome the negative thoughts in our heads. One of my favourite affirmations is ‘I accept what I cannot change’. I suffer from liver failure and for years I was very negative about the situation. Affirmations is just a small way in which I’m becoming a much more positive person.
- Celebrate other’s success – There’s nothing worse than a friend or relative that’s always got to be one better than you right? I know that’s probably not you but if it is, don’t be that person. Celebrating others’ success is good for our health, success, and willpower. If we’re celebrating somebody else’s success, we’re more likely to want to succeed ourselves. All you need to say is a simple ‘you’re doing amazing, well done’. Try it and see how it makes you feel.
So there we have it, I guarantee if you try at least 1 of these, you’ll start feeling so much better. 2021 is the year for big changes after all!
