Mask time is my favourite part of skincare at the moment. I’m getting quite fed up of using the same clay masks week in week out and my skin is becoming drier than ever.
I came across the Alex Steinherr Pollution Solution City Mask in Primark a couple of weeks back. It was actually in the reduced section and only ended up costing me £1.00. I wasn’t expecting miracles but I decided to pick one up to try.
So you get 2 parts to the mask along with a spatula for mixing –
- Step 1 – Essence (this is like a gel formula)
- Step 2 – Powder
After mixing the 2 sachets, the consistency was very thick & gooey. I applied the mask to my face with the same spatula I used for mixing as I didn’t have my mask brush, so the application wasn’t the best. The appearance of this mask on my face isn’t the most appealing view to see so put it this way, I wouldn’t want to be answering the door with it on! (Here’s a photo for your entertainment)
I didn’t realise this and it clearly states on the packaging that it’s a moulding mask (hence the reason for it being so thick). So it is a peel-off mask which is great if you’re not a fan of taking setting masks off.
I have nothing bad to say on the mask apart from the appearance. My skin did feel smooth afterwards and I would probably use this again if I were to get my hands on another.
I love testing and trying different masks so if you have any recommendations please please let me know in the comments!
