Another year has come and gone, and I’ll be honest—I’ve been terrible at managing my blog and social media accounts. Nevertheless, I do feel like I’m starting to take control of a lot of aspects of my life, and I truly believe that 2023 will be my year.
I would say that at the beginning of this year, I was in a peculiar place. In addition to being in the worst financial situation I can recall ever being in and having just begun the second semester of my first year of uni, I was just genuinely in a very anxious state.
Despite these negative aspects, I’ve also experienced many highs. I rediscovered my love for travelling (not the sort where you spend 3 months backpacking across Asia; rather, the kind where you take 3 night city breaks), I’ve begun to feel at ease and content in my own company, and I eventually rediscovered my love for my degree.
I even travelled alone to Bath this week. Despite the fact that it was for one night, I wished I had booked another so I could have explored far more. The growth I’ve seen in myself this year is unlike anything I’ve experienced in previous years and it makes me think that 2023 will be even better.
Here’s to 2023!
